Bambi.

Have you heard Jidenna’s song “Bambi”? It’s one of those songs you have to listen to a few times before you really appreciate it. At first you’re like “WTF?” and then you’re crooning like an old school playa from the himalayas. But I digress.

I was listening to this song for the bazillionth time today and I listened to it differently. The words were “Bambi, bambi. My dear, my dear, my dear.” And it hit me. Bambi is a deer which sounds just like dear. Is that why he thought to called his “dear” Bambi? I was in the card straight mindblown. I also fell into giggles because I’m super slow. Did everyone else already know?
